On July 21,
2007, 21 CU Buffalo football players led some lucky kids
through
running, kicking, tackling, and agility drills, then they broke down
into teams
and played flag football with the kids, and after the game, the kids
and the
players enjoyed some pizza together. The players
graciously
offered to take time out of their busy training schedules to support
the local
charity EFAA, the Emergency Family Assistance Association (www.efaa.org).
My most sincere
thanks to all you Buffs
for coming out to the field on Saturday. The kids had an awesome
time, but it's unclear whether the kids or the parents enjoyed it
more!
It was a privilege to be down on the field with you all, and it was
impressive to see such skilled athletes having so much fun and
being so
enthusiastic playing around with the kids. Several parents said
that this
event has inspired their kids, and it maded us all very
excited about coming out and supporting the Buffs this season.
Your
efforts not only to bought happiness to all of us, but it also raised a
lot of money for the many families that recieve assistance from EFAA.
The event was made possible
by a donation from June and Doug DaPuzzo.
